NOVEMBER 01, 2009 - FIRE ENGINEERING MAGAZINE HAS PUBLISHED ONE OF MY PHOTOS FOR THE COVER SHOT OF ITS NOVEMBER 2009 ISSUE. THE CREW FROM ENGINE COMPANY 33 FROM NEW MILFORD, NJ WAS GETTING READY TO ENTER A HOUSE THAT WAS ON FIRE BACK ON APRIL 06, 2009.

Welcome to Brett's Fire Photos. My name is Brett and I'm a former firefighter with the New Milford and River Edge Fire Departments located in Bergen County, New Jersey . I'm the 4th generation firefighter in my family following the footsteps of my great grandfather Joe, grandfather Bud, my father Ken, my uncle Skip, myself and my younger brother Scott who is now in his 20th year with New Milford Company 2.
Even though I've been out of the fire service for sometime now, I still continue to photograph my Brothers doing what they do best. Protecting the lives and property of our neighbors and the never ending desire to train to be the best of the Bravest. After joining the fire service I tried my hand in taking photos after my mentor Kevin Sullivan (aka Photo Unit 1). His photos showed the true pride of the Department. In good times and in bad.
